CFL September system:

NOTE: THIS IS THE 2009 page for this system.

1)     TYPE:

The CFL September system is a PURE FLAT system. To explain further, we have two different types of flat systems: PURE Flat and WEIGHTED Flat. Pure Flat systems are 1.00 units on EVERY PLAY. Weighted Flat systems vary from 0.20 to 5.00 units based on the historical data of the group (Money Line Range, Home/Away, etc.). With PURE Flat systems there is no weighting at all. The advantage of the Pure Flat system is there is far less downside risk (each play is 1 unit, and there are usually less plays). The disadvantage of Pure Flat is that we miss out on 'dogs hitting around us' (outside the ranges) when there are abnormal years. More info on the different types of systems can be found in our FAQ's section.

2)     UNITS:

Our unit scale utilizes a base amount of 1 UNIT. This is to keep things uniform with the way most other services/systems release plays and to make it easy for everyone to multiply and understand.

As stated above this CFL system is a PURE FLAT system, meaning you wager the same amount (1 UNIT) on every play.

Units     ($) options

0.20     $20       $100     $200

0.50     $50       $250     $500

1.00     $100     $500     $1000 >> FOR PURE FLAT systems, every play is 1 UNIT (your standard play)

2.00     $200     $1000   $2000

3.00     $300     $1500   $3000

5.00     $500     $2500   $5000

3)     UPDATE TIMES:

Updates will be sent Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays, at approximately 6 PM Eastern (see NOTES below for exceptions).
T
he Friday update will contain the plays for the ENTIRE weekend (Friday through Sunday night).
* NOTE: On Monday, September 7th, there will be an update at 12 PM ET (there is a day game at 4 PM ET).

* All updates will be sent via EMAIL.

4)     PROFIT NUMBERS:

Here are the profit numbers for this system over the past six seasons:

PROFITS W-L (%) # of PLAYS
2003 +  6.40 5-5 (50%) 10
2004 +  3.55 3-6 (33%) 9
2005 +  3.75 3-3 (50%) 6
2006 +  5.20 4-4 (50%) 8
2007 +  3.95 4-3 (57%) 7
2008 +  2.55 4-3 (57%) 7
TOTAL + 25.40 23-24 (49%) 47
AVG +  4.23 4-4 (50%) 8

As you can see each season finished with a profit, and the average profit was +4.23 units. So if you use $100 as your baseline 1 unit play that would be an average profit of $423 per September, and a total profit of $2,540 over the past six seasons. If you use $500 as your baseline, that would be an average profit of $2,117 and a total profit of $12,700.

As you can see this system is amazingly consistent and - due to the small number of plays - has VERY low downside risk. This season there will be four full weeks in September (4 games per week) so provided it's a normal month we anticipate 7-10 plays and 2-6 units of profit.

5)     BANKROLL:

For this particular system, since there are so few games due to the nature of the CFL and it's schedule, very little bankroll is required. There's an average of 8 games per month and a very few extended droughts, so starting with a bankroll of 5.0 units would've been plenty in each of the previous six seasons.

6)    HOW FLAT SYSTEMS WORK:

Flat systems are very simple, we've isolated the profitable ranges (for the month of September, home and away) over the past six years, and we play ONLY the games that fall into those ranges. Because the ranges are profitable, a flat system virtually assures profit with very little downside risk. In the case of the CFL with so few games, a progressive system would be too risky in case it's an abnormal month and one of the ranges fails to hit at historical levels - one or two big plays could impact the whole month. After analyzing the data we concluded that a flat system for CFL September is the safer route to ensure profits.

7)     MORE NOTES:

  • We will be using the lines from BookMaker.com to determine the games that fall into the system.

  • We will use the lines at approximately 5:30 PM Eastern on Fridays (with the exception of Monday, September 7th - on that day there will be two updates and we will use the lines at 11:30 AM Eastern and 5:30 PM Eastern).

  • In the event that BookMaker does not have money lines released for the entire weekend on Fridays, we will use TheGreek.com (very similar).

  • 79% of the CFL Money Lines in our database are from CRIS/BookMaker (same). The rest are from Bet365, Olympic, or The Greek (very similar). So for the most part this system is 'apples-to-apples'.
